Forum: freecache Subject: does freecache know I updated my file?

If I update my download file, will freecache know to update its cache or do I need to "Remove Content" myself when I update the file (which has the same name).

If your web server notices the difference, so will FreeCache. Your file should show a different Last-Modified header; the file size might have changed as well.

If you are using the industry standard, i.e. Apache, you have nothing to worry about. But I remember vagely that one could twist IIS into some performance-enhanced mode, where one had to restart it for any changes to take effect...
